Darling Point

A pre war apartment on one of Sydney's grandest harbour points, with plaster ceilings worth saving and a bay window that catches the sunset over the water every evening. The ceilings were restored flower by flower, then everything beneath them was calmed: cream walls, herringbone oak stained deep, and a checkerboard of verde and ivory marble that runs from the entry through to the kitchen and bathrooms.

The rooms are turned toward the water: the bay window became a champagne bar for two at sunset, and the reading chair sits where the morning light lands first. Location: Darling Point, Sydney. Scope: interior architecture, restoration and furnishing. Status: design visualisation, completion 2026. Materials: marble, herringbone oak, plaster and brass.
