Hunters Hill

Sydney's original sandstone village, a block falling steeply to the water, and a brief to build in the peninsula's own material: stone, laid properly, made modern. Dry stacked sandstone piers carry the composition across three terraced levels, with deep roof overhangs shading walls of glass, and a pool set within the retaining wall itself so the water reads as part of the landscape. Location: Hunters Hill, Sydney. Scope: architecture, interiors and project management. Status: design visualisation, completed 2025. Materials: sandstone, timber battens, bronze and glass.
